Introduction

This bulletin provides technical information on product improvements for Symmetry CONNECT & GUEST for both hosted and on-premise deployments, available in production from July 2020.

New Functionality

CONNECT

  • We have added new functionality to enable ACRM/ACRs to add credentials on the fly from the Identity information page, if configuration settings dictate.
  • We have added new functionality to enable ACRM/ACR & Photo Admin/Photo Techs to add credentials from the Credential Request page, if configuration settings dictate.

Installer / Ancilleries

  • We have remodelled the Installer to be more User friendly and provide better clarity on Installer activity as well as actions taken by the user.
  • We have enabled customers to update REDIS and Elastic using the advanced options in the Installer

Issues Addressed

  • FP151181 - Addressed an issue with Report timeouts in CONNECT where high vloumes of data were present. This has been resolved as part of this release.
  • FP146693 - Addressed an issue where credentials could not be added ‘on the fly’ from the Credential Management screen. This has been resolved by enhancements in this release.
  • FP152683 - Addressed an issue with the Cancel button within the Visitor information screen. This has been resolved and the Cancel button is now responsive.
  • FP152235 - Addressed an issue with multiple secondary emails caused email addresses to not be removed or edited. This has since been resolved and Users will not be restricted by how many emails can be saved to a single identity.
  • FP152455 - Addressed an issue with Upcoming Access Asssignment expiration notification links not appearing in the email when thresholds are met. This has been resolved and links will always appear in the notifications.
  • Addressed issues with saved Report edits not accurately refelcting changes and allowing for amendments to the person picker. Edits to Saved Reports will now be accurately be reflected.
  • Adressed an issue with IDM Notifications displaying a configurable setting to turn off IDM expiry notifications for ‘Identities Manager’. This should always be ON and has been disabled and is no longer configurable.
  • Addressed an an issue with saving credentials that exceed the maximum character value for for both Facility Code and Card Number. this has now been addressed with Validation checks.
  • Addressed an issue with Timezones not updating when updating a Building’s address via the google API.
  • Addressed an issue with Access Control not being applied to Visits from Self Registration. This has been resolved.

Known Issues

  • After completion of ‘Define New Visitor’ from the Unknown Visitor link (Calendar Integration) the user is not automatically re-directed to the default GUEST view. The work around is to manually navigate back to GUEST until a fix is put in place in the next major release.
  • PDF pagination numbering does not change when cycling through (x) pages for Policies.
  • ACRM/ACR proxy by admin is displaying exceptions when selecting Audit Pie charts from CONNECT Dashboard. ACRM/ACR retain functional behavior for Audit pie chart selection.
  • ACRM/ACR proxy by admin will throw exceptions when navigating between GUEST and CONNECT. Identity Credentials Report attributes will be deleted from fields if drop-down is selected during editable phase of report generation. Ensure that report is generated before selecting the Drop down icon.
