Introduction
This bulletin provides technical information on product improvements for Symmetry CONNECT & GUEST for both hosted and on-premise
deployments.
New Functionality
- We now have the ability to retrieve a complete list of buildings by using our new IDM report called “All Buildings Report”
Issues Addressed
- We have addressed an issue where customers using Access Group Rules, where the rule is defined by a UDF Field, were not able to
use an existing rule, or save a new rule. This issue has been fixed, and is functioning as normal again.
- FP161314 - We have addressed an issue where customer were unable to action any API calls in regards to Connect Access Groups,
when the Access Group had two colons in its name.
- FP161293 - We have addressed an issue on the Visit Information screen and Badge Preview screen where Guest was displaying the
value of a UDF rather than the display value
- FP161205 - We have addressed an issue in the Connect Activity Report where column AF (Transaction Details) was not displaying any
information when access was removed. This column is no longer giving a blank result. This column also now details if the access removal was due a identity suspension, termination or deletion.
- FP160760 - We have addressed an issue where PIN codes changes were syncing down to Symmetry, but not updating the panels
- FP160276 - We have addressed an issue where building managers of a specific building were able to see and approve visits from outside of their building.
- FP160100 - We have addressed an issue where identities were appearing in search results if the search term matched a value for them
of an inactive UDF
- FP158747 - We have addressed an issue where the Google map was not showing in the Visitor Welcome email even though the correct
latitude and longitude were entered manually.
- FP157998 - We have addressed an issue where two back-to-back Public API calls to create an identity with the same employee number
would create duplicates. When a user tries to do this now, the second Public API call will realize the employee number already exists,
and will not create the duplicated identity.
Known Issues
- GUEST Search field will only allow Users to search on a maximum of two searchable words. In the future we will provide Users with the ability to search three search words. The work around at this time is to enter an ‘AND’ operator between each word to exceed a 2 word search.
- After completion of ‘Define New Visitor’ from the Unknown Visitor link (Calendar Integration) the user is not automatically re-directed to the default GUEST view. The work around is to manually navigate back to GUEST until a fix is put in place in a future release.
- PDF pagination numbering does not change when cycling through (x) pages for Policies.
- ACRM/ACR proxy by admin is displaying exceptions when selecting Audit Pie charts from CONNECT Dashboard. ACRM/ACR retain functional behaviour for Audit pie chart selection.
- ACRM/ACR proxy by admin will throw exceptions when navigating between GUEST and CONNECT.
- Identity Credentials Report attributes will be deleted from fields if drop-down is selected during editable phase of report generation. Ensure that report is generated before selecting the Drop down icon.
- If a receptionist’s base building/company combination has a visit configuration without visit types, all the self registration kiosks activated with a code generated by the receptionist won’t be able to create any visits. This is a limitation of the current design of the kiosk and will be fixed in a future release. The work around for this issue is to either change the building/company of the receptionist to a combination that has a visit type, or to add a visit type to the current building/company combination used by the receptionist.
