Introduction
This bulletin provides technical information on product improvements for Symmetry CONNECT & GUEST for both hosted and on-premise
deployments.
Issues Addressed
- FP161293: We have addressed an issue where badge templates were incorrectly displaying the ‘value’ of a user defined field rather
(UDF) than the ‘display value’ in the badge preview screen. Badge templates that contain user defined fields now correctly display the
display value.
- FP161981: We have addressed an issue surrounding new visits being raised with visit approval being needed from a specific identity.
The approver was receiving the Visit Approval Notification email, but the link in the email would not enable them to approve the visit.
There is no longer an issue with this, and specific identity approvers are now able to approve a visit.
- FP161908: We have addressed an issue where the Scan Utility was not connecting to COM Ports. Scan Utility now connects to the port
you select, and will show as greyed out if there are no available ports to connect to.
- FP161421: We have addressed an issue in the Audit Summary Report in Connect, where the ‘Audit Campaign’ field was showing
duplicated auditing periods. All auditing periods are now showing only once.
- FP160535: We have addressed an issue in the Symmetry Integration Visitor Card Activity Report in Guest, where readers were not
appearing when being searched for in the ‘Card Readers’ field. The ‘Card Readers’ field will now return all matching readers for a search
term that is at least 2 characters in length, and the field will return a maximum of 12 readers.
- We have addressed an issue where users were unable to delete an identity if the identities manager had been deleted. Identities can
now be deleted, even after the identities manager has just been deleted.
- We have addressed an issue where users were encountering discrepancies in the displayed expiration date for access groups in the
‘Identity Information’ screen in Connect. This issue no longer exists, and the correct expiration date now shows regardless of which time
zone the access code is in.
Known Issues
- There is an issue where, if the print / scan utility configuration is incorrect, and then is subsequently fixed, SignalR cannot resolve the error naturally until its either restarted or initialized.
- There is an issue where, if you edit the self registration visit type definitions configuration in GUEST whilst logged into the self
registration kiosk, the configuration updates are not visible.
- There is an issue where a user may experience screen delays when switching between the front and the back of a two-sided badge
template preview.
