Introduction

This bulletin provides technical information on product improvements for Symmetry CONNECT & GUEST for both hosted and on-premise deployments, available in production from February 2021

New Functionality

  • We now have the ability to see which identity is the owner of which Shared Access Signature. In the Shared Access Signatures configuration screen in IDM, you can now see the owner of the SAS Token.

Issues Addressed

  • FP161785 - We have addressed an issue where customers had limitations on how much data could be stored in the /etc folder of the installer. The installer can now be run from wherever the archive is placed.
  • FP161557 - We have addressed an issue where Building ID’s were truncating at any length above 40 characters. This field now allows Building ID’s up to 255 characters in length.
  • FP161492 - We have addressed an issue where checking in visitors using a badge template that included UDF’s was causing a white screen error. The white screen no longer appears.
  • FP161443 - We have addressed an issue on IDM where the “Edit Email Addresses button allowed setting an identities primary email address to the same email that another identity had, which was introducing a duplicate primary email in the system. IDM no longer allows duplication of primary email addresses.
  • FP161312 - We have addressed an installer issue where the local registry API wasn’t mounted as read-only.
  • FP158824 - We have addressed an issue where customers were unable to print badges from the self registration page using a Dymo label writer 450 turbo.

Known Issues

  • There is an issue where, if the print / scan utility configuration is incorrect, and then is subsequently fixed, SignalR cannot resolve the error naturally until its either restarted or initialized.
  • There is an issue where, if you edit the self registration visit type definitions configuration in GUEST whilst logged into the self registration kiosk, the configuration updates are not visible.
  • There is an issue where a user may experience screen delays when switching between the front and the back of a two-sided badge template preview.
